Biography

Growing up in Central Pennsylvania, I developed an appreciation for the importance of healthcare access, particularly for rural communities. After earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and Medical Degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, I completed a family medicine residency at the Oregon Health & Science University. Working in remote locations in my training and early career, I learned first-hand that providers can do more for their patients when they have easier access to knowledge and expertise. Since then, I have dedicated much of my professional energies to teaching students and residents, writing and speaking for the American Academy of Family Physicians and leading online CME courses through Project ECHO. I also develop telehealth programs, like eConsults, to serve rural communities in Oregon and Washington. I am looking forward to meeting you at a Pri-Med Institute event soon!
