Anthony Cheng, MD is a family physician and medical director dedicated to bridging the rural-urban health divide through digital transformation and clinical education. For the past five years, he has served as a leader for the Oregon ECHO Network, facilitating peer-to-peer knowledge sharing to share specialty expertise across the state’s primary care backbone. Currently, he serves as the Medical Director for the Office of Care Transformation and Innovation where he spearheads digital health initiatives designed to modernize chronic disease delivery. His work sits at the intersection of behavioral economics and healthcare operations, focusing on how systemic “nudges” can improve patient outcomes in resource-constrained settings. An MBA candidate with a focus on leadership and innovation, he remains a steadfast advocate for the belief that geographic isolation should not necessitate a lower standard of care.
