Biography

Robin K. Dore, MD, is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). A board-certified rheumatologist, she has a private rheumatology practice in Tustin, California. Dr. Dore attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine, and she received her training in Rheumatology from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Dore is a Founding Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and she has served the college in various capacities. She is certified as a clinical densitometrist by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. Dr. Dore is a long-time Arthritis Foundation volunteer and is Immediate Past Chair of the Southern California Chapter. She has received recognition for her contributions to patient and physician education and community service. In 2000, the Arthritis Foundation acknowledged her contributions to the development of Bone Builders, a program devoted to educating girls and young women about the importance of healthy lifestyles in the prevention of osteoporosis. A clinical investigator, Dr. Dore participates in research studies of medications for the treatment of gout, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other diseases. She has investigated anti-TNF, anti-IL1, COX-2, RANK ligand inhibitor, selective estrogen receptor modulator, parathyroid hormone, and other agents.
