Biography

Patrick T. Dowling is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio and the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He completed his family medicine training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and is board certified in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine/Public Health. Prior to joining UCLA as Chair of Family Medicine in 1998, he served as director of Family Medicine residency programs at Cook County Hospital, Brown University and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. At present, he is Vice-Chair of the Public Health Commission of LA County and Chair of the board of the California Community Foundation.
