Biography

Dr. Duffy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She serves as the Director of Cardiovascular Risk Reduction at the Jefferson Heart Institute, and is a clinical cardiologist with a focus on complex lipid management and women’s cardiovascular health and prevention. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Lipid Association as well as the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Heart Association. Dr. Duffy completed her undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (Perelman School of Medicine) and completed her internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She did additional training in clinical lipidology and lipid research through an NIH sponsored training grant at the University of Pennsylvania prior to completing her fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Duffy is involved in multiple investigator-initiated and site-based clinical trials in the area of cardiovascular prevention.
