Biography

Dr. Dutta attended medical school in India and graduated in 2000. She pursued her Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Texas, Houston with emphasis on international and child health and graduated in 2004. She did her pediatric internship and residency at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine from 2005-2008, followed by her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from 2008-2011. She was in a private practice setting at College Station, TX for three years after which she returned to Texas Children’s in 2014. She is currently the Infectious diseases lead at the Woodlands campus of Texas Children’s. She is involved in a variety of educational projects and her primary research area is fungal infections in immunocompromised hosts. She has book chapters and articles published in peer reviewed journals on topics related to infectious diseases in children.
