Biography

Dr. Sanghavi Goel received her MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Medical Resident. Following residency, she completed a General Medicine Fellowship at Harvard/Beth Israel Deaconess, and earned an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She currently practices as an Internist at Northwestern in Chicago, IL, where she also directs the dual degree MD/MPH program. Her clinical and research interests lie broadly in understanding the relationships between race/ethnicity and health care disparities, especially in cancer care. She has published extensively on health care disparities and cancer care in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, Patient Education and Counseling and the Journal of the American Medical Association.
