Biography
Ninel (Nell) Gregori, MD is a professor of clinical ophthalmology and vitreoretinal specialist at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute as well as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She completed her residency training and vitreoretinal fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in 2007. Dr. Gregori serves as a surgeon on pivotal clinical trials taking place at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute such as gene therapy and stem cell transplantation for patients with inherited retinal degenerations. Dr. Gregori’s primary research interests are in the area of innovative surgical techniques and new therapies for patients with blinding retinal conditions without currently available treatments. She specializes in the management of cataract surgery complications, retinal detachment, macular surgery, retina laser surgery, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Gregori enjoys training medical students, ophthalmology residents and retina fellows in the clinic and operating room.
