Biography

Dr. Hicks joined the palliative medicine faculty at Baylor College of Medicine in 2022 as an Assistant Professor. Her clinical practice is at Ben Taub Hospital, and she is an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Prior to relocating to Houston, she was on faculty at University of Washington where she also completed Internal Medicine residency, chief residency, and fellowship. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She is passionate about teaching serious illness communication skills and improving end of life care.
