Biography
Masis Isikbay, MD, received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2018. At UCSF, he completed his general surgery internship (2019), a diagnostic radiology residency (2023) during which he served as Chief Resident, and a neuroradiology fellowship (2024). Dr. Isikbay has taught trainees of all levels by participating in courses offered by the UCSF School of Medicine, mentoring pre-medical and medical students, leading symposia with hands-on radiology training, and has lectured on the regional, national, and international level on a variety of education topics. He has created a variety of publicly available educational resources and has received a variety of educational grants to support his work (specifically to create teaching resources for procedural and diagnostic radiology). Dr. Isikbay has also contributed to a variety of quality improvement projects such as body and neuro IR post procedure order sets, first-year resident rotation guides, and primers for new trainees in diagnostic and interventional radiology. His dedication to clinical work and education earned Dr. Isikbay the 2023 Elmer Ng Outstanding Resident in Diagnostic Radiology award.
