Biography

Jeffrey L Kaine graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in 1979. He completed his internship, residency and rheumatology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. He joined the faculty at Washington University and then moved to Sarasota Florida in 1986 where he has been ever since. He is the director of the Sarasota Arthritis Research Center where he works with 9 other rheumatologists. Over the past 28 years he has been a principal investigator in over 500 rheumatic disease research protocols, the majority of which deal with rheumatoid arthritis. He has worked with numerous pharmaceutical companies as a consultant and investigator. He spends approximately half of his time in private practice and the other half participating in clinical research activities. Dr. Kaine has authored numerous scientific papers and lectures nationally and internationally.
