Biography

Dr. Kaplin is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the division of Neuropsychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has joint appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and is the Chief Psychiatric Consultant to the Johns Hopkins Multiple Sclerosis and Transverse Myelitis Centers, in which he is an integral member of the clinical and research endeavors. Dr. Kaplin's research is focused on understanding the biological basis of depression and dementia and discovering new ways to diagnose, prognosticate and treat these diseases.
