Helen C. Koenig

Biography

Dr Koenig is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Infectious Diseases division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she serves as Medical Director of the MacGregor Infectious Diseases Practice. She also serves as the Medical Director of the PrEP Program at Philadelphia FIGHT, an AIDS service organization in Philadelphia. She has received multiple grants looking at objective measures of adherence to PrEP as well as a SPNS grant to improved access to HIV prevention and treatment for young men of color who have sex with men using social media, and has been a co-investigator on more than 20 other clinical trials. She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University, her medical training at Cornell, residency and fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania, and MPH and Preventive Medicine training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
