Biography

Dr. Koester spent 12 years providing full spectrum primary care in Maine prior to focusing on hospital work. She has been a hospitalist for seven years, first in a community hospital in Maine and then in the academic setting at UMassMemorial. She remains dedicated to providing the best patient care possible while dividing time between clinical, administrative, and teaching responsibilities. Dr. Koester graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed a residency in Family Practice at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, MI. She received her Master in Medical Management degree at Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University.
