Biography

Dr. LaRussa is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Attending Physician at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork Presbyterian. His research interests are in Varicella-Zoster virus infections (infections in the immunocompromised and healthy child, pathogenesis, molecular diagnostic techniques, latency and reactivation, prevention). Pediatric HIV infection (diagnosis, maternal-fetal transmission, prognostic factors, and international HIV) and Childhood immunizations (safety and efficacy of childhood vaccines).
