Biography

Dr Leddy is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland where she returned for her Endocrine Fellowship. She remained on the clinical faculty at Hopkins for several years. In 1988 she moved to Newport News Virginia where she practiced general endocrinology with a focus on diabetes, thyroid disease and metabolic bone disease. Since 2013 she has directed diabetes care at the non-profit Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic which serves the working poor in two rural Virginia counties. Dr Leddy is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and serves as the Associations representative to the Endocrine Standing Committee of the National Quality Forum.
