Biography

Dr. Mark Lowitt graduated with a degree in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and received his M.D. degree from Tulane. He completed a 3 year residency in Internal Medicine at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and a Dermatology residency at the University of Maryland, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Lowitt joined the full time faculty at the University of Maryland and served as Dermatology Residency Program Director, Vice-Chair of the Department of Dermatology, and Chief of Dermatology at the Baltimore VA Medical Center for 10 years. Dr. Lowitt has published 34 journal articles and book chapters and has given more than 200 invited lectures. Dr. Lowitt now runs a private practice at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
