Biography

JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH is Chief of Preventive Medicine and Co-Director of the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is also Professor of Medicine and the Elizabeth Fay Brigham Professor of Women's Health at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Manson is Principal Investigator of several grants, including the Women's Health Initiative clinical center in Boston, the Cardiovascular component of the Nurses' Health Study, and the Women's Antioxidant and Folic Acid Cardiovascular Study. Her major research interests include preventive medicine, clinical trials, and biomarker predictors of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
