Biography

David C. Reid, MD, FAAD, is the Clark Wylie Finnerud, MD, Professor of Dermatology and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Rush University System for Health in Chicago. He also serves as Residency Program Director for the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Reid earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his dermatology residency at Northwestern University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Reid is a board-certified dermatologist with clinical expertise in inflammatory skin disease, including psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa. His academic interests include medical education, clinical research, and improving the delivery of dermatologic care. As department chair, he leads dermatology clinical, educational, and research programs across the Rush health system.
