Biography

Hailing original from South Florida, Dr Reveille went to college at the University of Florida, medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, internal medicine residency at the University of Miami, the rheumatology fellowship back at Johns Hopkins. After three and a half years on faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he joined the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Texas-McGovern Medical School in 1987, where he has been Division Director since 2002. Fully NIH funded since 1988, he has focused his research on genetics and outcomes in spondyloarthritis, lupus, and scleroderma. He was president of the Pan American League of Affiliated Rheumatologists (2012-2014), Chairman of the Arthritis, Connective Tissue, and Skin Diseases (ACTS) NIH study section (2008-2010), and has served on the Boards of Directors of the Spondylitis Association of American (2007-2014) and the Assessments in Spondylitis International Society (2013-present).
