Biography

Ms. Ross is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Lipid Specialist with concentrated training in preventive cardiology. Undergraduate and graduate work were completed at Gwynedd Mercy College, where she graduated Cum Laude. She holds two masters degrees as a Clinical Specialist with subspecialties in Gerontology and Administration and Adult Nurse Practicioner. She has receievd accreditation as a Clinical Lipid Specialist by the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidiology. Clinical affiliation is with the University of Pennsylvania, and is an independent clinical consultant on cardiovascular risk intervention and education. She has been active in clinical research and has been both a clinical coordinator and sub-investigator on several cardiovascular risk reduction trials for lipids and other aspects of risk reduction. Ms. Ross is published in the fields of preventive cardiology, identification, assessment and treatment of cardiovascular risks and all aspects of lipidology. She has lectured both nationally and internationally and is frequently a member of advocacy groups. Professional memberships include past Board Member, past president, and current Fellow of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA). Founding Board Member and past secretary of The Familial Hypercholesterolemia Foundation (The FH Foundation). Board member and Fellow of the NLA where she sits on several committees and is Past President of the Northeast Lipid Association and past president of the National Lipid Association. Currently serves as Board Member of the Foundation of the National Lipid Association.
