Biography

Dr. Schmidt completed medical school (95), her internal medicine residency (98), and her adolescent medicine fellowship (00) at Baylor College of Medicine and their affiliated hospitals. She was the medical director of the Adolescent Clinic at Ben Taub General Hospital from 2001 to 2007. Currently, she staffs the general medicine clinic for the Baylor College of Medicine Internal Medicine residency program, staffs the internal medicine in-patient unit at Ben Taub General Hospital, and works in the urgent care and triage areas of the Emergency Center at Ben Taub General Hospital. Dr. Schmidt and her husband have three adolescents at home, ages 14, 16 and 17.
