Biography

Dr. Shimizu is a board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon. She completed medical school and residency training at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, then completed a fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Currently she is associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine. She specializes in cutaneous oncology and the surgical treatment of skin cancers. She is dedicated to sharing her knowledge with her fellows, residents, and medical students as the fellowship director of the MSDO program at Baylor.
