Biography

Shmuel Shoham, MD, MACP, is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of medicine. His focus is on infections in transplant and oncology patients. He is the author or co-author of over 150 biomedical publications and book chapters and serves as a reviewer and expert consultant to multiple journals, professional societies, government agencies, professional guideline committees, and patient advocacy groups. He is the creator of the Transplant ID podcast and co-founder of Mid Atlantic Transplant ID Society. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the President’s Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB) and the Laureate Award from the District of Columbia Chapter of the American College of Physicians.
