Biography

Dr. Smith is Professor of Medicine. His research examines sleep and breathing abnormalities in the broadest context. The major focus is on sleep apnea and his current work includes epidemiologic studies in cohorts at risk for cardiovascular disease, and the pathophysiology, and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
