Biography

Garrick Stewart, MD MPH is an Associate Physician in the Center for Advanced Heart Disease at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Prior to joining the staff in 2011, Dr. Stewart attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, graduating in 2003. He came to Boston and Brigham and Women’s that same year to begin his post-graduate medical training. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine followed by Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Stewart’s primary clinical interests include cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, heart transplantation, myocarditis, and cardiac sarcoidosis. He is the Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
