Biography

Paul Tang, MD, is an Internist and Chief Medical Information Officer at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), Sutter Health.  He is also Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Medicine.  At PAMF, Dr. Tang is responsible for clinical information systems, including an enterprise-wide electronic health record system and an eHealth system connecting patients with the Foundation via the Internet.  He was named an Innovator of the Year in 2003 by Healthcare Informatics and an Innovator and Influencer in 2002 by Information Week. He received the 1998 CPRI Nicholas E. Davies Award for Excellence in CPR System Implementation
