Biography

Senior Director | US Medical Affairs Regional Medical Expert | South Central USA Gilead Sciences Inc. As a Senior Director and HIV Regional Medical Expert with Gilead US Medical affairs, Dr Trinh leads medical education initiatives and research opportunities to drive impact and improve health outcomes in people with HIV and people benefiting from HIV prevention. Before joining Gilead in 2022 Dr. Trinh was department chief of Infectious Disease at The Polyclinic in Seattle, WA where he had a robust inpatient and outpatient practice specializing in HIV treatment and prevention. Dr. Trinh received his Medical Degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, trained in Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University, and completed his Infectious Disease Fellowship from the University of Washington where he also earned an MPH in epidemiology. Dr. Trinh has conducted research as part of an international team screening and treating cervical dysplasia in women living with HIV in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr Trinh is ABIM board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is a certified HIV Expert TM (AAHIVE) through the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Dr Trinh is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and live music lover. He recently picked up Pickleball at his local YMCA where he enjoys getting humbled by local seniors. He lives on a former garlic farm in Austin, TX with his wife Ellie and his pit-bull Dottie.
