Biography

Current Role: Dr. Koppany Visnyei is a nationally recognized HIV Specialist and is the President of DrV Medical in Los Angeles, California. Experience: Dr. Visnyei has been in private practice since 2013, focusing on primary care, infectious diseases, men's health, and the gay, lesbian, and transgender community. He is a board-certified Internist and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of HIV Medicine, the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association, the Society for Neuroscience, the American Association of Cancer Research, and the Collaborative Drug Discovery. Dr. Visnyei has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and has lectured extensively to academic and non-academic audiences nationally and internationally. Education: Dr. Visnyei received his medical degree from Hannover Medical School in Germany. He worked at the University of Zurich Hospital in Switzerland and the University of Uppsala in Sweden, before coming to California. He got re-certified as an internist in the United States at the Griffin/Yale program in Connecticut and at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He also has an academic background in neurosurgical sciences, neuroscience and molecular biology.
