Biography

Kevin C.J. Yuen, MD, FRCP (UK), FACE completed his fellowship in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. For his post-doctoral thesis at the University of Cambridge, he studied the effects of low doses of growth hormone treatment on insulin resistance in adults with growth hormone deficiency, and subjects with metabolic syndrome. Due to his interest in pituitary diseases, Dr. Yuen focuses his clinical practice on the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary and adrenal disorders with a particular interest in growth hormone deficiency and excess, and cortisol deficiency and excess. Dr. Yuen is well-known nationally and internationally in the field of research into pituitary diseases. He has conducted many diagnostic and therapeutic clinical and translational studies in various pituitary diseoders and has published his work in many eminent peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored several book chapters, and is a frequent guest speaker on various topics related to pituitary disorders, especially on adult growth hormone deficiency, acromegaly and Cushing’s disease. He currently serves on several medical committees, is the Editor-in-Chief for "Growth Hormone and IGF Research" journal, is on the Editorial Boards for "Endocrine Practice, AACE Clinical Case Reports, Pituitary, Reviews in Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders", and "Cardiovascular Endocrinology", and is an ad hoc reviewer for many scientific journals.
