Overview
The session will address common rheumatology problems in primary care with an emphasis on an appropriate approach to selecting diagnostic tests.
Learning Objectives
- Be able to appropriately initiate testing for a patient with suspected inflammatory arthritis
- Be able to evaluate for appropriate rheumatologic conditions in patients with persistent fatigue
- Understand the role of uric acid in diagnosing gout and informing management choices
- Be able to recognize rheumatologic patterns of Lyme disease and be able to select appropriate testing
