The heart-kidney connection: assessing cardiovascular risk

Overview

Do you have all the pieces of the puzzle to assess cardiovascular (CV) risk in your patients? This program will explore the evolving understanding of chronic kidney disease (CKD)—particularly albuminuria—as a key predictor of CV events in at-risk patients. We will examine tools that can enhance CV risk assessment, including clinical testing such as urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) and risk calculators. This symposium aims to equip attendees with practical, clinically relevant strategies to help identify at-risk individuals earlier in the disease course, with the ultimate goal of reducing CV risk.
