Overview

This interactive educational symposium will examine why HIV
prevention remains a critical public health priority and why
primary care providers are essential to achieving progress toward
ending the HIV epidemic goals. Drawing on current US HIV
epidemiology, individual vignettes, and realistic clinical scenarios,
the program will highlight populations disproportionately affected
by HIV and the persistent gaps in awareness testing and
prevention. Through expert discussion and data-driven insights,
the session will emphasize a status-neutral approach and the
everyday primary care touchpoints where opportunity for HIV
testing, education and prevention are often missed, aiming to
empower front-line providers to confidently initiate meaningful
conversations and integrate HIV prevention into comprehensive
patient care.
