Overview

This session covers defining and staging CKD, identifying patients who need referral and risk assessment (including the Kidney Failure Risk Equation), and reviewing treatment strategies to delay progression and from blood pressure control to newer medications. Special attention will be given to unique considerations in managing CKD in patients over 70.
