Managing Pain in the Real World: Challenging Cases in Pain Management and OUD

Grand Ballroom, Level 4

Description

Pain management and opioid use disorder (OUD) are among the most challenging issues faced in primary care today. In this session, you will work through real-world cases designed to strengthen your approach to opioid and nonopioid pain management, OUD identification, and evidence-based treatment strategies. Faculty will share practical insights to help you balance effective pain management with patient safety and risk mitigation in everyday practice. This session is also designed to satisfy the DEA MATE Act training requirement, as well as risk management and opioid-related CME requirements for multiple state mandates.
