Biography

I am appointed in urology and family medicine at UCLA and am a former Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar, trained in health system redesign and Health Services Research. My career goal is to serve as a healthcare change agent, to positively impact the health of individuals and populations. I actively mentor and train medical students, research residents, and fellows on career goals, impacting the health of populations, and other areas related to health services research. Through research, community partnerships, leadership and administrative roles, and clinical work, I believe we can design and implement health care systems that best serve our population. I hold multiple leadership roles throughout the Los Angeles Department of Health Services (LADHS) and the Veterans’ Administration, and can contribute to the team that helps achieve meaningful change.
