Biography

Dr. Bright, who's board-certified in emergency medicine, has a diversified solo practice that includes diving medicine and alternative wellness approaches. He integrated and implemented an efficient, cost-effective, networked electronic medical records system that employs voice recognition technology for note-taking. Dr. Bright has written or been quoted in several articles about physicians' use of digital technology in a wide range of publications-from Medical Economics, to The Palm Beach Post, to Smart Money-and has given numerous presentations on medical informatics in diverse forums, including several High Performance Physician Conferences. A member of the American Medical Directors of Informatics Services, Dr. Bright was also chairman of the Department of Family Practice at Martin Memorial Medical Center in 2000-2001, and directed the hospital's hyperbaric program from 1983-2000. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1977.
