Biography

Richard Elion is a board certified family medicine physician who graduated from Temple University and completed his residency at Duke Medical Center. He is a clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine and the co-director of the HIV/HCV program at Providence Hospital. He was formally the director of clinical research at Whitman Walker Health and has pioneered the use prevention activities and education for primary care in high risk HIV prevalence areas. He also develops educational programs around the US and is an accomplished educator and clinician.
