Biography

Dr. Uslan is the Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, Associate Director of Clinical Epidemiology & Infection Prevention for UCLA Health, Hospital Epidemiologist for UCLA Santa Monica Hospital, Director of Quality Improvement and Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at UCLA. He received his medical degree from University of Southern California and completed his internship, residency, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Dr. Uslan’s research is on medical device infections and innovative ways to reduce healthcare associated infections. This fall, he co-lead the Ebola preparedness efforts at UCLA Health, resulting in UCLA being named one of the CDC’s Preferred Treatment Centers.
