Dr. Layla Abushamat, MD, MPH is an endocrinologist and assistant professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Research at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Her area of clinical and research expertise is in the prevention, treatment, and management of cardiometabolic disease, including a focus on diabetes, obesity, and lipids.
