Founder, Medical Dermatology Specialists Attending Teaching Faculty, Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix Clinical Assistant Professor, Dermatology, Banner University of AZ College of Medicine Phoenix, Arizona Lindsay S. Ackerman, MD, was the founding physician of Medical Dermatology Specialists in Phoenix, Arizona. She currently serves as Attending Teaching Staff for Dermatology at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix in Arizona, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor for U of A College of Medicine, Phoenix. She earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and completed an internship in Combined Medicine/Pediatrics at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center followed by a residency in Dermatology at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a fellowship in Complex Medical Dermatology at Tulane University. Dr. Ackerman is board certified in Dermatology. She remains an active educator of dermatology to primary care residents in the Phoenix area. Dr. Ackerman has served as a Delegate for the AAD to the American Medical Association since 2005, and has been active in local, national and international dermatology societies. Dr. Ackerman has been published in several peer-reviewed publications, including JAMA Dermatology and JAAD, and has been invited to share her independent research at international meetings such as the World Congress on Gender Medicine, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the World Congress of Dermatology.
