Biography

Paul H. Bornemann, M.D., is currently Assistant Professor of Family and Preventative Medicine, Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program, and Director of Primary Care Ultrasound at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Bornemann is board certified in Family Medicine, a military veteran, and has eight years’ experience working as an army family physician. Dr. Bornemann’s experience also includes introducing integrated ultrasound curriculum into a military family medicine residency training program. He has published several journal articles and book chapters on point-of-care ultrasound, original research and review topics. In 2014 he was awarded the Kumu Ola Award for Faculty Excellence and the Family Medicine Residency Faculty of the Year Award from Tripler Army Medical Center.
