Biography

Dr. Bushan graduated from the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio. She completed residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at UT Southwestern in Dallas. She has been a staff physician at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center since 2019. Dr. Bushan’s clinical interests include non-malignant hematological conditions and breast cancer. She teaches residents and fellows in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and enjoys discussing a range of acute and chronic hematologic conditions. She also has a special interest in breast cancer prevention, as well, and works closely with the Women’s Health Center at the VA to promote screening, lifestyle changes, and chemoprevention.
