Biography

Armando G. Correa, M.D is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He has over 30 years' experience working in academic settings, first as an attending physician with the Infectious Disease service at TCH, followed by 3-year tenure as a Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic. He then rejoined BCM/TCH in 2005, where he assumed a fulltime faculty position in the Academic General Pediatric Section. Dr. Correa is currently the Medical Director of International Patient Services at TCH, where he oversees the care of patients from all over the world, and coordinates educational opportunities for our global community. He is also co-director of the General Pediatrics Consult Clinic, a "second opinion" clinic for puzzling or complex cases. He has particular interest in recurrent fever and periodic fever syndromes, chronic fatigue, dysautonomia and vaccine safety among others. He has authored numerous medical publications, including the 5th edition of Moffet's Pediatric Infectious Diseases: A Problem-Oriented Approach textbook, and is an accomplished speaker at national and international events.
