Biography

Bethany Doerfler, MS, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian whose clinical practice and research focuses on providing wellness-based medical nutrition therapy for digestive disorders and allergic bowel diseases. She currently practices in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, IL. She is the first dietitian to be fully integrated into a gastroenterology division for both research and patient care. Ms. Doerfler earned a bachelor’s of science in nutrition from Michigan State University and a master’s of science in nutritional epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Doerfler additionally services as adjunct faculty at Marciella Niehoff School of Nursing, Loyola University Chicago, She has presented to corporate, medical and academic audiences throughout Chicago. Her work has been featured on the Today's Show, Women's Health, Prevention Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Shape Magazine, and The Daily Burn.
