Biography

"Colin W. Howden, MD, is a professor of medicine in the division of gastroenterology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. He is also an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr Howden graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1978 and was trained in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and clinical pharmacology at the University of Glasgow and McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. Dr Howden has published in peer-reviewed journals and has cowritten the American College of Gastroenterology’s practice guidelines on management of Helicobacter pylori infection. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board for several professional journals. Dr Howden also is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. "
