Dr. Katz is currently the Director of the Orthopedic and Arthritis Center for Outcomes Research and Distinguished Chair in Orthopedic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Professor of Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His training is in rheumatology and clinical epidemiology, and he has over 25 years of clinical and research experience in osteoarthritis and the intersection between OA and orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Katz's 480 peer-reviewed publications virtually all relate to the epidemiology and/or outcomes of musculoskeletal conditions. He is currently President-Elect of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International and have mentored more than 40 younger scientists.
