Biography

Dr. Kleerup received his undergraduate degree from Stanford and obtained his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis. Returning to his native Southern California, he completed his Residency in Medicine At the VA medical Center West Los Angeles and Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCLA. Now, as a Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, his clinical research interests have included small airways disease in asthma, COPD and the pulmonary effects of cocaine and marijuana abuse. His clinical interests include asthma and cough, and he serves as the Co-Director of the Asthma and Cough Center at UCLA and Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at UCLA.
