Biography
Dr. Sanghamitra Misra is an integrative pediatrician with a passion for serving vulnerable populations. She is board certified in pediatrics and integrative and holistic medicine, and she is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar. She is professor, associate vice-chair of education, and clerkship director in the department of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is the medical director of the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program which brings comprehensive healthcare to under-resourced children in the Houston area, and she is director of the Integrative Medicine Program at Texas Children’s Hospital which focuses on research and education on complementary and integrative therapies in pediatrics. Dr. Misra is a published author of research articles, book chapters, and a book on topics including immunizations, refugee health, mobile clinics, medical education, integrative medicine, and generative artificial intelligence. She is chair of the Mobile Healthcare Association, past chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Integrative Medicine (SOIM), and appointed member of the AAP Committee on Pediatric Education (COPE).
