Biography

Dr. Nas Mohamed is a San Francisco–based physician whose clinical work focuses on LGBTQ+-affirming primary care and HIV prevention. He is the founder of Osra Medical, a practice dedicated to personalized, culturally competent care for diverse communities. Dr. Mohamed partners with both Gilead Sciences and ViiV Healthcare to advance provider education on PrEP, sexual health, and inclusive clinical care. His clinic was among the first in San Francisco to implement long-acting injectable PrEP, Apretude and Yeztugo, in San Francisco Bay Area. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Mohamed is an internationally recognized human rights advocate and serves as president of the Alwan Foundation, a nonprofit advancing LGBTQ+ health and visibility across the Gulf region in the Middle East. He has been widely acknowledged for his global advocacy efforts and previously served on the Board of Directors of San Francisco Pride, where he was elected by public vote as the 2023 Grand Marshal.
