Biography

Dr. Quinton is Director of Behavioral Medicine for Digestive Health, Co-Director the Interdisciplinary Bowel Dysfunction program, and Assistant Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Quinton is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience working with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as a specialization in the treatment of chronic digestive diseases. Dr. Quinton’s academic interests include psychogastroenterology and the psychological/behavioral aspects contributing to illness experience, the use of novel technologies to enhance care, interdisciplinary program development, and student training. Clinically, she utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Medical Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) to help patients address their symptoms, coping, and quality of life.
